What to expect at our Pre Baby Bootcamp

If you're expecting, it's likely that you're full of excitement and questions in equal measure. Join Boston NAPS, a leading provider of prenatal classes and in-home baby nurse services in the greater Boston area, for New Baby Bootcamp, a full-day of hands-on prenatal classes, workshops, and community building for parents-to-be.

The day's activities will cover labor and delivery prep, breastfeeding basics, and newborn essentials (and, of course, lunch). You'll be grouped with parents who have a due date close to yours, so you can meet and create relationships with other expecting parents who are having similar experiences. You'll also have the opportunity to browse offerings from local vendors and service providers who cater to the needs of growing families.

The event will be held at St. Elizabeth's Medical Center.  All attendees will leave with resources to connect with Boston NAPS (and other event attendees) online and through Facebook, so the new baby education, community, and support you receive will continue to your due date (and beyond).

Cost: $299*
Time: 8am - 5pm

*cost for client and one support person and includes a catered lunch for two (well really three!) and exclusive discounts and offerings for Boston NAPS and other local vendors.

My wife and I participated in the Boston NAPS “Baby Bootcamp” a few weeks ago. I can’t recommend it highly enough. Emily and Jamie run a thorough, professional program. All questions are answered. There’s just enough break-out sessions to keep it interactive.

I found the content informative. They cover a lot of ground, in a short period of time, without it feeling rushed. Newborn behavior, diaper changing, swaddling, breastfeeding, stages of labor, when to go to the hospital, what babies look like, what’s going on in the body during delivery. Soup to nuts - it was covered.

The atmosphere is light and fun, which encourages a supportive atmosphere. I expected it to be cheesy and geared exclusively to the moms. But I never really felt out-of-place throughout the day. I walked away far more knowledgeable than I came in. It gives you that last confidence injection you need before the big day. Definitely impressed, definitely exceeded expectations - and I’ll be telling my buddies about it when they start having kids.

“We had taken a childbirth class at our doctor’s office and it was very technical, and frankly, a little terrifying. My husband and I had a great time at the Baby Bootcamp. We learned a ton and feel like it did a wonderful job of filling in a lot of the gaps in our knowledge and we just feel a lot more confident now - thank you so much! The environment was light and fun and made us feel excited for our baby, not scared. We also made friends with another couple who is due right around our due date, and are still in touch!”
